The human brain has vastly more storage capacity than most people could ever believe. I have thoroughly proved this using
myself as experimental subject, by spending almost 25 years in
many different levels of self-induced trance, and ultimately
giving myself a photographic memory that shocks everyone. I
routinely surprise people with sharp, clear, and amazingly
accurate memories that go back 35, 40, or 45 years, concerning
huge numbers of different people. At my 30-year High School
Reunion in 1998, everyone was referring to me as "Mr. Total
Recall."

The biggest mistake, the primary false assumption made in the
history of human consciousness is this: that the Mind or brain
is a CONTAINER, a "box" that holds facts and thoughts and
memories; this is utterly, utterly wrong! The mind is NOT a
container! It is a "fully parallel, fully distributed system",
to use a phrase from cognitive research. My 30 years of experience with hypnosis has shown me that there are no practical limits to memory, provided one is willing to invest
the time and depth required to reorganize one's consciousness.

Read "The User Illusion" by Tor Norretranders, published just
a few years ago. It shows convincingly the colossal amount of
information each person takes in everyday, yet filters all that down to a tiny percentage in order to maintain what we
think of as everyday consciousness, which is in fact an ultra-
selective, VERBALLY-organized consciousness, adapted to a very
specific time, place, and way of life.
